Consider the elements that you would like to be included in your outdoor area. Write down the all possible options, you can prioritise and eliminate some once you have considered all possibilities. Who will use the space and how would they/you like to use the space? If your outdoor space is small – do you need to consider making the space multi-functional? Possible design styles to consider include a circular pit, Indoor/outdoor fireplaces, double sided fireplaces. Always consider the size and scale of your garden when choosing your fire pit or fireplace. If you are in a Bushfire Prone Landscape or have a small urban garden with limited space for firewood, there are good alternative fuels to wood such as natural gas or biofuel.
